Accounts Assistant Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible
Accounts Assistant
to support our finance and accounting functions. The successful candidate will have experience in
accounting, billing, payment processing, accounts receivable/payable, and preparation of financial reports
.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Perform daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.
Record and maintain accurate accounting transactions and supporting documents.
Maintain proper filing of invoices, receipts, payment records and other financial documents.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Reconcile bank accounts and accounting records.
Billing & Accounts Receivable
Prepare and issue customer invoices and credit notes.
Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on overdue payments.
Maintain accurate accounts receivable records.
Verify billing details against contracts, quotations, purchase orders and supporting documents.
Payments & Accounts Payable
Process supplier invoices and payment requests.
Verify invoices and supporting documents before payment.
Prepare payment schedules and assist with bank payment processing.
Maintain accurate accounts payable records.
Follow up with suppliers regarding invoices and payment matters.
Financial Reporting
Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and management reports.
Prepare accounts receivable and accounts payable ageing reports.
Assist with cash flow monitoring and reporting.
Provide accounting information and supporting schedules for management review.
Assist in preparing documents required for audits, tax filings and other statutory requirements.
Requirements
Diploma or relevant qualification in
Accounting, Finance or a related field
.
At least
1–3 years of relevant accounting experience
.
Experience in
billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payment processing
.
Familiarity with preparing basic financial and management reports.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Experience in Singapore accounting practices will be an advantage.
