Key Responsibilities
Quality Management & Compliance
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the Project Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 standards and project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual obligations, applicable codes, standards, and statutory regulations.
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and controlling quality procedures, inspection plans, and project quality documentation.
- Promote quality awareness and ensure effective communication of quality requirements across project teams.
Quality Assurance & Control Coordination
- Coordinate QAQC activities during project execution to ensure compliance with approved quality plans and procedures.
- Monitor and track Quality KPIs, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), observations, and punch list items, ensuring timely close-out.
- Support investigations into quality issues and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and maintain quality reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for management review.
Inspection & Surveillance
- Coordinate site, vendor, and subcontractor inspections to ensure compliance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), specifications, and client requirements.
- Manage inspection schedules and liaise with project teams, vendors, subcontractors, clients, and third-party inspectors.
- Coordinate and monitor Request for Inspection (RFI) activities and ensure timely submissions to clients and relevant authorities.
- Follow up on inspection findings, quality deficiencies, and non-conformances to ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Work closely with QAQC inspectors and discipline engineers to support inspection readiness and execution.
Stakeholder Management
- Interface with clients, project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and classification societies on quality-related matters.
- Support quality meetings, audits, inspections, and site visits.
- Facilitate effective communication and resolution of quality issues among project stakeholders.
Audit & Documentation Control
- Coordinate internal, client, and third-party audits and monitor closure of audit findings.
- Maintain inspection dossiers, turnover packages, quality records, and project documentation.
- Ensure quality documentation is accurate, current, and readily available for audits, inspections, and project handover.
Team & Project Support
- Provide guidance and support to QAQC inspectors and site personnel.
- Ensure inspection and measuring equipment are calibrated and fit for purpose.
- Review inspection results, identify recurring quality issues, and recommend improvements.
- Support quality resource planning to meet project execution requirements.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Structural, Welding, Materials, Marine, or other relevant disciplines) or equivalent.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of QAQC experience within offshore Oil & Gas, FPSO, Floating Production Facilities, Offshore Platforms, or Shipyard Construction projects.
- Experience supporting topside fabrication, module construction, commissioning, or offshore production facilities.
- Good understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), inspection processes, and project quality requirements.
- Familiarity with welding inspection, NDT methods, classification society requirements, and international codes and standards.
- Ability to coordinate inspections, manage quality documentation, and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working with contractors, vendors, clients, and third-party inspection agencies.
Preferred
- Experience on FPSO, FPU, FLNG, or other floating production projects.
- Exposure to construction, fabrication, or offshore yard activities.
- Certification in QAQC, Welding Inspection, NDT, or Lead Auditor qualification would be advantageous.
