Role Description

As a PhD Student at Universiti Malaya, you will engage in advanced research within your chosen field of study under the guidance of experienced faculty. This internship role entails conducting experiments or theoretical studies, analysing data, publishing academic papers, and presenting findings at conferences or seminars. You will also participate in collaborative research initiatives and contribute to academic discussions. This on-site position is based in Malaysia and requires a commitment to developing innovative solutions and expanding knowledge in your area of expertise.

Qualifications

• Strong research skills, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation
• Technical expertise in your specific discipline or research field
• Proficiency in academic writing and >2 publications in WoS journals as a first author
• Critical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills for presenting research findings
• Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary academic environment
• Master’s degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering
• Familiarity with research methodologies, tools, and software (Aspen, Python, Fluent) related to your subject
• Academic or professional experience in conducting independent projects is a plus
• Commitment to ethical research practices and innovation
