Project Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical) - plans, coordinates, and oversees mechanical and electrical building systems to ensure projects finish on time and within budget
Key Responsibilities
Site Coordination:
Supervise M&E installation works and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades.
Drawing & Technical Review:
Check shop drawings, schematics, and technical submissions for accuracy and compliance.
Testing and Commissioning (T&C):
Oversee system testing, equipment inspections, and final project handover.
Problem Solving:
Resolve technical site clashes and interface issues between architectural, structural, and M&E services.
Documentation:
Maintain method statements, material submittals, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings.
Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services.
Experience:
3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in construction or M&E site coordination, Experience in cleanroom environment.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of ACMV (air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation), electrical systems, fire protection, and plumbing/sanitary services.
Otaka Engineering and Supplies Pte Ltd is established in early 2004 in Singapore as a support service provider to the Ports in the Asia Region. In Year 2007, the company has diversified the business to the semiconductor, microelectronics, pharmaceutical industries. We have recruited Specialists from these industries that have experiences in both mechanical and process system. We have developed our resources over the year in response to growing customer demand for a diversity of coordinated services primarily focusing on Project Management, Quality Assurance Management, Consulting, Engineering and Maintenance Services. In the recent year, we have also expanded our business into Building and Facilities Maintenance for Schools, Hospitals, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductors and Electronics sectors.
