Role Description The Credit Control Executive / Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based at Columbia Asia Hospital in Tebrau. This role is responsible for managing debtor accounts, monitoring outstanding balances, and ensuring timely collections in line with company policies. Day-to-day tasks include issuing statements, following up on overdue accounts, liaising with patients, insurers, and corporate clients on payment matters, and resolving billing or account discrepancies. The role also involves preparing credit reports, updating finance records, supporting month-end closing activities, and maintaining accurate documentation for audit and compliance purposes. Collaboration with the finance, billing, and front office teams is essential to ensure efficient cash flow and a positive experience for patients and business partners.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skills in Credit Control and Credit Management, including monitoring credit limits and assessing payment risks.
  • Experience in Debt Collection and managing Debtors, with a balanced approach to maintaining relationships while securing payments.
  • Foundational knowledge of Finance, including basic accounting principles and familiarity with billing and invoicing processes.
  • Strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and proficiency in spreadsheet and accounting software (e.g., Excel, ERP or hospital billing systems).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive financial discussions professionally and respectfully.
  • Ability to work on-site in Tebrau, manage multiple accounts and deadlines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, insurance, or corporate credit environments is an advantage.
  • Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
