We are looking for a motivated Account Assistant to join our team. You will work in a professional and collaborative environment that values quality, accountability and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable taking responsibility for accurate financial records and day-to-day accounting activities.

Due to the nature of the work and applicable client requirements, this position is open only to Malaysian citizens.

This position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Job Description

As our account assistant, you will support the day-to-day finance operations of the business, including:

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Perform payroll processing
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities
• Assist with basic financial reporting and other finance-related administrative tasks
• Liaise with internal departments, customers, suppliers, and auditors when required
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial information
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and documentation

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field+
• 2 years of experience of relevant accounting or finance experience
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations
• Payroll processing experience is preferred
• Experience with Xero or other accounting software is an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good written and spoken English
