Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Machine Technician to join our manufacturing team in the steel industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting production machinery and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on technical experience with industrial machinery, and a strong commitment to workplace safety and equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment in accordance with operating procedures.
• Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and basic servicing of machines and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems.
• Identify machine abnormalities, breakdowns, and potential equipment failures.
• Adjust machine settings and parameters to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
• Conduct regular checks on lubrication systems, motors, bearings, belts, gears, hydraulic systems, and other machine components.
• Work closely with the Production and Maintenance teams to resolve machine-related issues.
• Ensure machines and work areas are kept clean, safe, and properly maintained.
• Follow all company safety procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Support continuous improvement activities to improve machine reliability, productivity, and operating efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum [1–3] years of experience in industrial manufacturing, or a similar technical environment.
• Experience in the steel, metal, manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy industrial sector will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is an advantage.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools and maintenance equipment.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or public holidays when required.
