Position: Cybersecurity Expert

Type: Hourly Contract

Compensation: $30–$100/hour

Location: Remote

About the Opportunity

This opportunity is for experienced Cybersecurity Professionals, Security Engineers, and CISOs to contribute to advanced AI research and evaluation projects.

You'll apply your expertise to develop realistic enterprise cybersecurity scenarios, create reference outputs, and build evaluation frameworks that reflect real-world security operations, incident response, risk management, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity scenarios covering SOC monitoring, incident response, digital forensics, vulnerability management, and security architecture.
• Create tasks across threat detection, penetration testing, security engineering, and GRC.
• Design scenarios using tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Tenable, Qualys, and enterprise GRC platforms.
• Apply threat modeling, incident response, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Produce reference incident reports, security assessments, architecture designs, and compliance documentation.
• Develop rubrics that distinguish authentic enterprise security judgment from generic textbook knowledge.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Security Engineer, CISO, Security Lead, or related cybersecurity professional.
• Experience owning incident response, security architecture, or compliance initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, cybersecurity tooling, risk management, and current threats.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or EU NIS2 frameworks.
• Strong analytical, technical, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with organizations such as Mandiant, CrowdStrike, or major enterprise security teams.
• CISSP, CISM, or an internationally recognized equivalent certification.
• Experience creating security training materials, evaluation rubrics, or compliance documentation.
• Expertise across US and international cybersecurity standards.
• Familiarity with AI evaluation, machine learning, or data annotation is a plus.

Compensation

• Competitive compensation of $80–$90/hour.
• Hourly contract engagement.
