About the role

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join Acquirax Holdings Sdn Bhd (ACQ)

in a full-time capacity. Based in Penang and Ipoh, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional technical support and maintenance services directly to our Semiconductor clients. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the face of our company, ensuring that our equipment and systems operate at peak performance whilst building strong relationships with our customers. This position is essential to maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting the continued growth of our engineering services division.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on-site installation, maintenance, and repair services for Semiconductor E.O.L. equipment

• Diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime

• Perform preventative maintenance checks and servicing in accordance with established schedules and protocols

• Document all work completed, including detailed service reports and maintenance records

• Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to clients and internal teams

• Respond promptly to emergency service calls and troubleshoot critical equipment failures

• Maintain and manage field equipment and tools, ensuring they are in working order

• Collaborate with the technical team to identify recurring issues and implement improvements

• Provide technical guidance and support to clients on equipment operation and best practices

• Travel to various client sites across the region as required

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree qualification in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

• Proven experience working as a Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor) or in a similar technical field support role

• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues on E.O.L. Semiconductor equipment

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical clients

• Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple service calls

• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites (Ipoh and Penang)

• Physical capability to perform hands-on engineering work and lift equipment as required

• Commitment to health and safety standards and adherence to compliance regulations

• Customer service orientation with a focus on delivering quality support

• Preferred: Relevant technical certifications or specialised training in specific Semiconductor equipment types
