The Role

We are seeking an intentional, detail-oriented Tea Barista who moves effortlessly between fast-paced precision and mindful hospitality. As our Tea Barista, you are the storyteller and craftsperson behind every sip—whether you are pulling draft Oolongs for guests on the go or guiding guests through a tableside Gongfu steep.

Key Responsibilities

Craft & Preparation

• Master Dual Extraction: Prepare both fast-casual cold-steeped beverages and slow, high-precision hot tea infusions using custom teaware, flush drainage trays, and exact water-to-leaf ratios.
• Ceremonial Precision: Execute single-origin Gongfu tea flights.
• Cold Brew Operations: Support back-of-house low-temperature steeping tanks, and bottle sanitization standards.
• Quality Control: Maintain strict temperature precision, steep timing, and water quality protocols for varied tea types (Green, White, Oolong, Puerh, and Botanicals).

Guest Experience & Hospitality

• Guide & Educate: Serve as a knowledgeable host for guests, translating complex tea origins, processing methods, and flavor notes into accessible, memorable experiences.
• Curate Atmosphere: Maintain a clean, peaceful, and visually engaging environment across both our grab-and-go counter and our tasting lounge.

What We Look For

• Passion for Tea & Beverage Craft: A genuine curiosity for loose-leaf tea culture, single-origin sourcing, or beverage innovation. (Prior tea or specialty coffee experience is a plus, but passion and willingness to learn are essential.)
• Refined Hospitality: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to create a warm, calm, and polished environment for every guest.
• Sensory Awareness: A keen palate for tasting notes and an appreciation for sensory presentation.
• Adaptability: Comfortable balancing the rhythmic speed of tap beverage service with the slow, intentional poise required for guided tastings.
• Eye for Detail: High standards for cleanliness, consistency, and artistic beverage presentation.
