Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Vision and Strategy

Artistic Vision

: Develop and maintain a clear artistic vision for the organization, setting long-term goals and objectives.

Strategic Planning

: Work with other leaders to create strategic plans that align artistic initiatives with organizational objectives and societal trends.

2. Programming and Production

Program Development

: Curate and oversee the selection of all programming, including performances, exhibitions, or events that fit the chosen artistic vision.

Collaboration with Creatives

: Collaborate with writers, directors, musicians, and other artists to develop new works or adapt existing pieces.

Production Oversight

: Supervise all artistic productions ensuring they are executed smoothly and to high standards, from conception to final presentation.

3. Organizational Leadership

Team Leadership

: Direct and manage the creative team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment among artists, staff, and stakeholders.

Budget Management

: Develop and manage budgets for artistic initiatives, ensuring that projects are financially viable and aligned with overall organizational goals.

Grant and Fundraising

: Contribute to grant writing and fundraising efforts to secure resources for artistic programs.

4. Community Engagement

Audience Development

: Develop strategies to grow and diversify audiences, engaging with the community to foster appreciation for the arts.

Outreach Programs

: Design and implement outreach programs and partnerships that enhance community involvement and participation in the arts.

5. Monitoring and Evaluation

Performance Evaluation

: Assess the impact of artistic programming on audiences and the community, using feedback to make informed decisions for future initiatives.

Quality Assurance

: Ensure that all artistic productions reflect high-quality standards and align with the organization’s mission, adjusting as necessary based on evaluations.
