Service Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join our team. The role involves servicing, maintaining and troubleshooting CNC machines at our workshop and customer sites in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, servicing and repairs of CNC machines.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical and CNC control-related issues.

• Diagnose machine faults and carry out repairs and component replacement.

• Troubleshoot CNC control systems, drives, motors, sensors and related electrical components.

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, mechanical drawings, CNC parameters and technical manuals.

• Perform machine installation, setup, commissioning and testing when required.

• Attend customer sites in Singapore for servicing, maintenance and breakdown repairs.

• Use digital and AI tools to research technical information and assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving.

• Maintain proper records of service work, machine faults and repairs.

• Work closely with customers and the internal team to resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical / Electronics Engineering or a related field.

• Relevant experience in CNC machine servicing and troubleshooting is required.

• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical and CNC control systems.

• Experience working with CNC controls, drives, motors, sensors and related machine components.

• Able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.

• Comfortable working with tools and performing hands-on technical work.

• Comfortable using computers, digital tools and AI tools for technical research and problem-solving.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

• Willing and able to work shift hours when required.

• Class 3 driving licence would be an advantage.
