Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations Management
- Supervise and oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, kitting, material handling, and shipment activities.
- Monitor inbound and outbound material movements to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Plan and allocate manpower according to operational requirements and shipment schedules.
- Coordinate warehouse activities with external warehouses and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Ensure warehouse operations are conducted in accordance with established SOPs, safety requirements, and company policies.
2. Inventory Control & Management
- Maintain high inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and inventory audits.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock movements, and material transactions through warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ensure proper control and traceability of materials throughout the warehouse and logistics process.
3. Logistics & Transportation Coordination
- Coordinate and monitor shipments between company sites, contract manufacturers, suppliers, and external warehouses.
- Ensure transportation activities are executed according to planned schedules and operational requirements.
- Coordinate material transfers and intersite balancing activities to support business and manufacturing needs.
- Work closely with logistics and transportation providers to resolve shipment delays, delivery issues, and operational constraints.
4. Customs & Trade Compliance
- Coordinate import and export activities to ensure compliance with applicable customs regulations and company requirements.
- Manage and support customs-related activities for LMW (Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse) and FIZ (Free Industrial Zone) operations.
- Verify shipping, import/export, and customs documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure proper documentation and controls are maintained for material movements, customs declarations, and duty-related requirements.
- Support compliance with HTS, tariff classification, BIS, and country-specific import/export requirements.
5. Team & Performance Management
- Lead, supervise, and develop warehouse and logistics personnel to achieve operational targets.
- Monitor team productivity, attendance, service levels, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide coaching and guidance to team members to improve operational performance and adherence to procedures.
- Identify manpower and resource requirements and ensure effective utilization of available resources.
6. Performance Reporting & Cost Management
- Monitor and analyze warehouse and logistics performance metrics and KPIs.
- Prepare operational reports and provide regular updates to management on warehouse, logistics, and transportation performance.
- Monitor warehousing, transportation, storage, and related operational costs.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency while maintaining service levels and operational requirements.
7. Process Improvement
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse and logistics operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse workflows, logistics processes, SOPs, and operational efficiency.
- Drive process standardization and best practices across warehouse and logistics activities.
- Support the implementation of process improvements, automation, and system enhancements where applicable.
8. Audit, Safety & Compliance
- Maintain accurate documentation and records required for internal and external audits.
- Ensure warehouse and logistics operations comply with company policies, SOPs, regulatory requirements, and customs regulations.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment within warehouse and logistics operations.
- Identify operational risks and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
9. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Work closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Transportation, and Logistics teams to support business requirements.
- Serve as the key point of contact for warehouse and logistics operational issues.
- Coordinate with contract manufacturers, external warehouses, 3PL providers, and transportation partners to ensure smooth material flow.
- Communicate shipment restrictions, customs requirements, logistics constraints, and operational updates to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations, preferably within a semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, or contract manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands-on experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, transportation coordination, and 3PL management.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian Customs regulations, particularly LMW and FIZ requirements.
- Experience in import/export processes and customs documentation is highly preferred.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers (CMs) and managing intersite or external warehouse material movements is an advantage.
- Experience supervising and managing warehouse/logistics teams and operational KPIs.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
