Job Responsibilities
The Project Engineer will be responsible for project documentation, submissions, coordination, and reporting to the Client, Consultants, and relevant parties.
Prepare, coordinate and submit all required project documents, including: Material SubmissionsMethod StatementsShop Drawings / Technical SubmissionsRFI (Request for Information)Inspection RequestsTesting & Commissioning ReportsProgress ReportsAs-Built DrawingsOperation & Maintenance (O&M) ManualsHandover Documents
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for submission to the Client and management.
Attend project meetings with Client, Consultants, Main Contractor and subcontractors, and prepare/follow up on meeting matters.
Maintain submission trackers and ensure all submissions, approvals and outstanding items are properly monitored and closed.
Coordinate with site supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers to obtain the necessary technical information and supporting documents.
Monitor site progress and update work schedules, manpower status and project progress.
Prepare progress photographs, site records and supporting documentation for Client reporting.
Follow up on Client/Consultant comments and coordinate revisions and resubmissions until approval is obtained.
Coordinate inspections, testing, authority requirements and project handover documentation.
Ensure proper filing and document control throughout the project.
Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Services or related discipline.
Relevant experience in construction, renovation, fit-out or M&E projects preferred.
Good knowledge of project submissions and construction documentation.
Able to prepare professional reports and communicate directly with Clients and Consultants.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and AutoCAD.
Able to work independently and follow up closely on submissions and deadlines.
Good written and spoken English.
Site experience and knowledge of Singapore construction procedures will be an advantage.
