Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a Data Analyst at Merchant Navy World. The Data Analyst will collect, clean, and analyze data from social media, web analytics, and community engagement to generate insights on audience behavior and content performance. The role includes building dashboards and reports, identifying trends, and supporting data-informed decisions for content strategy and community growth. The Data Analyst will collaborate with content and marketing teams to translate findings into actionable recommendations and track the impact of initiatives over time.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of statistics and experience applying statistical methods to real-world datasets.
• Experience with data modeling, including structuring and interpreting data for reporting and forecasting.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings in a clear, concise manner.
• Familiarity with spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
• Understanding of social media metrics and basic digital analytics is an advantage, especially within the maritime or niche community space.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience.
