Software Tester – Data Migration Project

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Software Tester / QA Tester to support a system migration project. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing testing activities, validating migrated data, identifying defects and supporting go-live readiness.

Candidates with strong QA/software testing experience are encouraged to apply. Direct Data Migration experience is not mandatory; candidates with basic knowledge or some exposure to data migration/testing are welcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Dress Rehearsal (DR) test cases.
• Perform functional, integration and end-to-end testing.
• Validate migrated customer, product and financial data.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation between source and target systems.
• Verify end-to-end business processes after migration.
• Identify, document, track and retest defects using JIRA or similar defect management tools.
• Prepare test evidence, test results and relevant testing documentation.
• Support defect investigation and collaborate with developers, business users and project stakeholders.
• Support pre-production validation and go-live readiness activities.

Requirements

• 3–4 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
• Hands-on experience in SIT, UAT and/or pre-production testing.
• Experience in functional, integration, regression or end-to-end testing.
• Experience in data validation, data comparison or reconciliation is preferred.
• Familiarity with JIRA or other defect management tools.
• Knowledge or some exposure to Data Migration / Migration Testing is sufficient.
• Good understanding of software testing processes and defect management.
• Banking or Cards domain experience is an advantage.
• SQL / database validation experience is an added advantage but not mandatory.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a project-based environment.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
