Pre-Sales Solution Architect – Application Development (AWS) & Java

Work Location - Singapore

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years of overall IT experience

• 2+ years of Presales / Solution Architecture experience

• Strong background in Java Application Development

• Experience in Application Modernization projects

• Strong customer-facing and presentation skills

• Presales, sales, or technical account management experience

• Experience with System Integration / Consulting / GIS / Technology Services environments

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Comfortable with travel across the ASEAN region

• Previous development experience with a transition into Presales is highly relevant

Key responsibilities:

• Partner with sales teams and customers to understand business requirements and translate them into solution concepts
• Design and present scalable, secure, and reliable application architectures on AWS, including proposals and cost models
• Lead technical discussions, workshops, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept sessions
• Apply application development expertise (Java) with modern frontend technologies to shape solution design
• Embed DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD, containerization, and secure development principles
• Prepare solution documentation and ensure smooth handover to delivery teams

Job Requirement

• Experience designing application solutions on AWS in a customer-facing or presales environment
• Strong knowledge of application development using Java (primary skill) with exposure to modern frontend frameworks
• Understanding of AWS services (e.g., compute, storage, networking) and ability to design cloud-native solutions
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD and container-based deployments
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders
• Experience with microservices, serverless architectures, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
