The property focuses on comfort, convenience, and a quality guest experience for leisure and business travelers alike.


Role Description The Front Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front desk and lobby to ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for all guests. This full-time, on-site role based in Penang, Malaysia includes managing front office staff scheduling, training, and performance, as well as supervising check-in and check-out procedures, reservations, and room assignments. The role involves handling guest inquiries and concerns, coordinating with housekeeping and other departments, and ensuring consistent adherence to service standards and hotel policies. The Front Office Manager will monitor front office workflows, prepare reports, support revenue and occupancy targets, and contribute to continuous improvement of guest satisfaction.


Qualifications

  • Strong front office and hotel operations skills, including supervision of reception, reservations, and guest services.
  • Guest relationship and customer service skills, with the ability to manage complaints and maintain high service standards.
  • Team leadership and people management skills, including staff coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Organizational and administrative skills, such as scheduling, reporting, and attention to detail in daily operations.
  • Proficiency with hotel property management systems (PMS) and basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
  • Effective communication skills in English; additional language abilities relevant to the local market are an advantage.
  • Previous experience in front office or guest services management within the hospitality industry is strongly preferred.
  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is beneficial.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
