Job Description & Requirements
1. Project Coordination
- Assist the Project Manager in day-to-day coordination of steel and metal works projects
- Liaise with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Track shop drawings, RFIs, method statements, and technical submissions
2. Drawings & Technical Support
- Assist in drawing coordination (Drawings prepared by the drafting team)
- Liaise with the drafting team on revisions, updates, and coordination issues
- Ensure drawings are aligned with site conditions, specifications, and contract requirements
3. Material Take-Off & Procurement
- Assist in material quantity take-off for steel and metal works
- Support the Project Manager/QS in cost checking, variation order (VO) support, and progress claims
- Maintain basic records for quantities, tonnage, and material usage
- Assist in material requisitions and delivery planning
4. Site Support
- Assist PM in site coordination, installation planning, and work sequencing
- Attend site meetings and inspections when required
- Support the PM in resolving site issues related to steel and metal works
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Assist PM in preparing simple project reports, schedules, and trackers
- Ensure documentation is updated, organised, and properly controlled
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the management.

Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field
- 2–3 years of experience in steel, metal works, or construction industry
- Able to read drawings and perform basic quantity take-off
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word; AutoCAD / TEKLA knowledge is a plus
- Responsible, willing to learn, and able to work under guidance
- Good communication and Team player with a positive learning attitude
