About the role

FENDEY CONSTRUCTION & TRADING is seeking a Practical Student to join our Contracts Administration team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain valuable practical experience in the construction and trading industry whilst developing essential administrative and contracts management skills. Based in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, this role will provide you with hands-on exposure to real-world business operations and help you build a strong foundation for your career in contracts administration.

What you'll be doing

During your placement with us, you will gain practical experience across a range of contracts administration functions, including:

• Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of contract documentation and files

• Supporting the administrative team in organizing and filing contracts and related correspondence

• Helping to track contract timelines, deadlines and important milestones

• Assisting with data entry and maintaining accurate contract records and databases

• Supporting the team in liaising with internal departments and external parties regarding contract matters

• Helping to compile information for contract reports and summaries

• Learning and observing contract negotiation and management processes

• Providing general administrative support to the Contracts Administration team

What we're looking for

To succeed in this practical student role, you should possess the following attributes and qualifications:

• Currently enrolled as a student or a recent graduate in business administration, commerce, law, construction management or a related field

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia

• A willingness to learn and develop your knowledge of contracts administration

• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Reliability and punctuality

• Preferably, some prior exposure to administrative or contracts work through internships or coursework

• Familiarity with construction or trading industries would be advantageous
