Kim Hua Construction Pte Ltd is an established A2 (going to A1) construction firm in Singapore dedicated to delivering high-quality building and infrastructure projects. We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join our team and take charge of commercial and contract management across our exciting projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender & Pre-Contract Management: Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements; prepare accurate quantity take-offs, detailed cost estimates, BOQ, and comprehensive tender submission documents within deadlines.
- Cost Estimation & Value Engineering: Analyse project costs, recommend value engineering solutions, and prepare tender pricing and budgets.
- Supplier & Subcontractor Management: Source, compare, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors while maintaining an up-to-date vendor database.
- Risk & Financial Administration: Assess project risks and opportunities during the tender stage, handle variation orders (VO), progress claims, and final accounts as needed.
- Client Relations & Business Growth: Act as the primary liaison with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors; follow up with existing clients to secure new projects and business opportunities.
- Project Handover & Coordination: Support the smooth handover of awarded projects to the internal execution team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Management Support: Report directly to the Contract Manager and assist with cost reports and other duties assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in tendering, estimation, or quantity surveying within the construction or civil engineering industry.
- Education: Minimum Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong command of tendering, costing, contract administration, construction methods, materials, and market pricing, with the ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, assertive communication, and excellent problem-solving skills to manage site-wide compliance effectively.
