Test Technician

Location: Perai, Penang
Employment Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: 4-2 Shift

Job Responsibilities

• Perform product testing, inspection and verification according to established test procedures and specifications.
• Set up and operate testing equipment, fixtures, jigs and related production tools.
• Conduct functional, electrical and/or performance testing on products during production.
• Monitor test results and identify product failures or abnormalities.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on failed units, test equipment and fixtures.
• Assist Engineers in failure analysis, debugging and investigation of test-related issues.
• Record and maintain accurate test results, defect information and production data.
• Support test equipment setup, verification and basic preventive maintenance activities.
• Escalate recurring failures, equipment issues and abnormal test results to the Engineer or Supervisor.
• Assist in improving test processes, test yield, productivity and overall product quality.
• Follow SOPs, Work Instructions, quality standards and testing requirements.
• Maintain good housekeeping and comply with 5S and EHS/safety requirements.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Process and Engineering teams to resolve testing issues.
• Perform other technical duties assigned by the Supervisor or Engineer.

Requirements

• SKM / Certificate / Diploma in Electrical & Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or other related technical fields.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with experience in electronics manufacturing, product testing or troubleshooting will have an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of electrical/electronic components and testing equipment is preferred.
• Able to use basic measuring or testing instruments such as a multimeter.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to learn and work in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Must be willing to work on shift.

Working Schedule

4-2 Shift Pattern

• Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 5:30 AM
• Shift arrangement is subject to operational requirements.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
