Job Description
Conduct commercial strategy and execution for industrial by-products including sales, pricing, contract management, and delivery coordination.
Manage the full sales cycle:
Prepare quotations, sales orders, and sales contracts
Issue proforma invoices (PI) and commercial invoices (CI)
Coordinate shipping instructions and documentation
Manage regulatory approvals:
Prepare and submit Special Management of Scheduled Waste (SMSW) applications
Liaise with the DOE/NREB at state and federal levels
Ensure compliance with DOE/NREB requirements:
Implement approval conditions
Monitor regulatory compliance and mitigate risks
Promote reuse of industrial by-products:
Develop applications in infrastructure and agricultural sectors
Engage contractors, end-users, and technical partners
Stakeholder engagement:
Coordinate with regulatory bodies, authorities, and external off-takers
Support road construction applications using slag/byproducts
Conduct presentations, site discussions, and pilot implementations
Coordinate R&D collaborations:
Partner with universities and research institutions
Validate material performance for road base, subbase, and concrete applications
Manage customer and off-taker relationships:
Oversee commercial agreements and delivery planning
Coordinate logistics and material collection
Track production and utilisation data
Prepare reporting:
Compile monthly scheduled waste inventory
Submit reports via the eSWIS system
Collaborate internally:
Work closely with operations, logistics, and finance teams
Align commercial plans with production schedules and operational priorities
Participate in cross-functional projects and provide administrative support to the department.
Perform any other tasks assigned by the immediate superior or the Management as required.
Requirement
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or related disciplines;
Minimum 5–8 years of working experience in business development, commercial operations, environmental management or manufacturing industry;
Strong knowledge and practical experience in regulatory compliance related to Department of Environment (DOE) and Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB) Sarawak;
Knowledge in Ferroalloys is an advantaged;
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting systems;
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken;
Demonstrated leadership capability, initiative, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial environment;
Willing to travel for business meetings, regulatory discussions, customer engagement, and project/site coordination activities.
