JOB SUMMARY

The role involves managing supplier relationships, issuing purchase orders, and monitoring delivery performance to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and supply continuity. The Buyer works closely with internal departments and suppliers to meet organizational objectives and support operational efficiency.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process purchase requisitions and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in a timely manner.
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and service.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure procurement requirements are met.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
• Track order status and follow up on deliveries to avoid supply disruptions.
• Conduct market research and identify alternative suppliers to ensure continuous supply.

AUTHORITY

• Escalate procurement risks, supply shortages, and major supplier issues to the Procurement Manager for decision-making.
• Resolve routine procurement and supplier-related issues.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP) is an advantage.

JOB RELATED SKILLS

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Cost reduction and cost control awareness.
• Purchase Order (PO) creation and order tracking.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
