The Materials Handler (12 hours shift/12 months contract) is responsible for performing regular inventory counts and yearly physical inventory counts to maintain accurate stock records, including assisting in identifying and resolving discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records, ensuring restocking shelves and maintaining a well-organized warehouse environment. 

This position is part of the Supply Chain & Logistics Department reporting to the Materials Supervisor and is located in Benoi Sector, Singapore. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Accepting incoming shipments, verifying their contents and checking for damages or discrepancies, while accurately documenting received goods, updating inventory management systems - SAP and organizing received items in designated storage areas;
• Carefully retrieve items from inventory based on production pick lists or order sheets, and pack the items efficiently, ensure items are protected during transfer including labels and packages for internal production.
• Safely load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring the proper handling of goods by utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as necessary (if certified and trained) by following all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries;

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Operate fork lifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Assist with warehouse/SAP administration tasks and maintain a clean and safe work area.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality before dispatching and report any damaged or defective items to supervisors.  
• Adhere to Company policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times; Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment, participate in safety training and be vigilant about safe working practices.
