About the Role

The Senior E-Commerce Procurement is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure a competitive, profitable, and well-stocked product catalog across the company's e-commerce platform. This role focuses on building a competitive product catalog by securing the right suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring product availability to support company sales and GMV growth.

Job Responsibilities

Supplier Acquisition & Management

• Source, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers and brands partners (consignment, dropship, and outright purchase models)
• Negotiate pricing, margins, MOQs, payment terms, rebates, and exclusivity arrangements
• Maintain and develop long-term supplier relationships; conduct regular performance reviews (pricing competitiveness, delivery lead time, defect rate, fill rate)
• Manage supplier contracts, renewals, and compliance documentation

Strategic Product Sourcing & Cost Optimization

• Develop category sourcing strategies aligned with platform sales targets and margin goals
• Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and cost breakdowns to identify savings opportunities
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives (alternative sourcing, direct-from-manufacturer)
• Ensure product data (specs, images, certifications) is obtained from suppliers for accurate listings
• Minimize overstock, deadstock, and stockout situations through data-driven purchasing decisions

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with inventory/warehouse teams on incoming stock planning and PO fulfilment
• Support marketing campaigns by securing exclusive deals, bundle offers, or promotional pricing from suppliers
• Coordinate with finance on supplier payments, credit terms, and invoice reconciliation
• Support cross-border sourcing where applicable (import documentation, duties, logistics coordination)

Reporting, Analytics & Documentation

• Maintain accurate PO records, supplier databases, and procurement trackers
• Prepare periodic reports on procurement KPIs: cost savings, new supplier count, margin contribution
• Document and improve procurement SOPs and workflows
• Mentor and guide junior procurement executives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
• 5–8 years of procurement experience, with at least 2 years in an e-commerce or online retail environment
• Proven track record in supplier negotiation and cost savings delivery
• Strong understanding of consignment, dropship, and marketplace procurement models
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
