Job Summary

Looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial and operational aspects of precast construction projects. The role will focus on reviewing project drawings and orders, carrying out quantity take-offs, verifying dimensions and specifications, and coordinating closely with the Production and other internal teams to ensure precast elements are produced according to project requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Singapore office and various factory teams, making this a suitable opportunity for candidates who are interested in developing practical experience in Quantity Surveying and precast manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and review project drawings, orders, specifications, and work instructions.
• Check quantities, dimensions, specifications, and details against approved drawings and order requirements.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and prepare quantity schedules as required.
• Coordinate closely with the Production team to ensure the correct precast elements are planned and produced.
• Verify production requirements against approved drawings, specifications, and order information.
• Identify and clarify drawing, quantity, specification, or order discrepancies with the Singapore office before production.
• Prepare and maintain quantity schedules, order records, and production-related documentation.
• Monitor and track drawing revisions, order changes, additional quantities, and remakes.
• Liaise with Planning, Production, Procurement, and Logistics teams to support smooth order fulfilment.
• Follow up on outstanding drawings, information, materials, and production requirements.
• Update the Singapore HQ on production status, outstanding information, and issues affecting orders.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities, revisions, changes, and related documentation.
• Provide general Quantity Surveying and administrative support to the project and factory teams as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Experience in precast, construction, quantity take-off, or manufacturing will be an advantage.
• Able to read and understand structural and construction drawings.
• Good understanding of construction quantities, dimensions, measurements, and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail with good numerical and analytical skills.
• Good communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
• Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Responsible, organised, and able to work independently while coordinating effectively with different teams.
• Willing to be based mainly at the precast factory in Malaysia and work closely with the Singapore office.
