About the role

We are seeking a Junior Engineer to join our mechanical engineering team at our Simpang Ampat facility in Penang. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to develop practical skills and gain valuable experience in mechanical engineering. As a Junior Engineer, you will support the design, development, and manufacturing of electronic and mechanical components, working alongside experienced engineers to contribute to the success of our projects and product innovation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software

• Conduct engineering calculations and analysis to support design optimisation

• Participate in product testing and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with specifications

• Support senior engineers in troubleshooting mechanical and assembly issues on the production floor

• Document engineering designs, test results, and technical specifications accurately

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and project management

• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and engineering documentation

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements to processes and designs

• Support the maintenance and calibration of testing equipment and tools

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline

• Strong proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools)

• Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

• Familiarity with engineering standards and quality management systems (ISO standards preferred)

• Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly and tolerance analysis

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of electronics or PCB assembly processes is advantageous

• Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise in mechanical engineering applications
