About the role
The Operations Executive – Air Export is responsible for managing and coordinating the end-to-end air export shipment process, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with customer requirements, airline procedures, and customs regulations. The role involves close coordination with customers, airlines, overseas agents, warehouse teams, customs brokers, transporters, and internal departments to ensure timely and smooth movement of air export shipments from origin to destination.
Key responsibilities
Handle day-to-day air export shipments from booking to departure
Receive and process shipment instructions from customers and overseas agents
Coordinate with airlines and obtain flight schedules, space availability, and booking confirmations
Prepare and verify export shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, Air Waybills (AWB), certificates, and other required documents
Prepare and process Master Air Waybill (MAWB) and House Air Waybill (HAWB) documentation
Coordinate with customs brokers and ensure timely completion of export customs clearance
Liaise with warehouses and trucking teams for cargo collection, delivery, acceptance, and handover to airlines
Monitor cargo cut-off times and ensure shipments are delivered to the airline within the required timelines
Track shipment status and provide timely updates to customers and overseas agents
Handle shipment amendments, cancellations, rollovers, and flight changes when required
About you
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
1–3 years of experience in freight forwarding, preferably in air export operations
Good knowledge of air export freight forwarding operations
Understanding of MAWB/HAWB processes and export documentation
Familiarity with airline booking and cargo handling procedures
Knowledge of customs clearance and export procedures
Strong coordination and communication skills
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict shipment cut-off times
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
