Project Engineer | Robotics / AMR

Primary Focus: AMR Deployment | Robotics Integration | Commissioning | Customer Projects

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on-site AMR installation, configuration, commissioning, validation, and performance testing at local and overseas customer sites.

• Gather customer requirements and support the design of scalable AMR solutions, including workflow design, system integration, fleet orchestration, and deployment planning.

• Develop and analyse simulation models to optimize system design, throughput, and deployment strategies.

• Identify and resolve technical issues across robotics hardware, ROS navigation, PLCs, and integrated software systems.

• Make technical decisions based on customer requirements, system performance, scalability, and site constraints.

• Conduct system checks to ensure compliance with applicable safety and regulatory requirements.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including architecture designs, deployment procedures, commissioning records, SAT reports, and checklists.

• Deliver technical training to customer teams and support successful system adoption.

• Monitor AMR performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and user experience.

• Coordinate with engineering, product, and support teams to resolve project and deployment issues.

• Build strong working relationships with customer operations and maintenance teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Around 2–4 years of relevant experience in robotics, AMR/AGV, automation, or industrial systems.

• Working knowledge of robotic systems, including actuators, sensors, and control systems.

• Experience with ROS, Python, and PLCs.

• Hands-on technical skills in areas such as mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, crimping, or equipment commissioning.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and customer-facing skills.

• Willingness to travel extensively for customer-site deployment and project activities.
