Key Responsibilities:
Quality Inspector
- Conduct inspections of in-process and finished goods according to established specifications and quality standards.
- Record daily inspection results accurately and maintain proper quality documentation.
- Inspect finished goods at Production and Store areas.
- Perform visual inspections, measurements, and other required quality checks.
- Identify, record, and report product defects and non-conformities.
- Ensure non-conforming products are properly identified and segregated.
- Verify products meet approved specifications before proceeding to the next process or shipment.
- Ensure inspection tools and equipment are used correctly and maintained in good condition.
Quality Monitoring
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process.
- Work closely with Production to identify and prevent recurring defects.
- Highlight quality concerns immediately to the relevant Supervisor or QA team.
- Monitor quality trends and recurring issues.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, checklists, reports, and other QC documentation.
Quality Issues & Corrective Action:
- Liaise with the QA team when quality issues are identified.
- Assist in investigating product defects and non-conformities.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Assist in checking products related to customer complaints and returned goods.
- Review and follow up on Corrective and Preventive Action Reports (CPAR) where required.
- Monitor corrective actions and report unresolved issues to the relevant personnel.
- Assist in implementing measures to prevent quality issues from recurring.
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement:
- Work closely with Production, QA, Warehouse, and Operations teams to maintain consistent quality standards.
- Assist QA in communicating QA/QC requirements and quality standards to relevant workstations.
- Highlight opportunities to improve product quality and reduce defects.
- Participate in quality improvement and defect-prevention activities.
- Maintain good housekeeping and ensure the QC inspection area is clean and organized.
- Carry out QC-related duties for both Fepa Sdn Bhd and Carbo Schroder Sdn Bhd.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
Requirements:
- Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Quality Control, Manufacturing, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- Experience in Quality Control, QC Inspection, QA/QC, or manufacturing is an advantage.
- Fresh graduates with a strong interest in Quality Control are encouraged to apply.
- Good attention to detail and ability to identify defects accurately.
- Able to follow specifications, work instructions, and quality procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Responsible, disciplined, and proactive.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Willing to learn and work in a manufacturing environment.
