About The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Collections Officer to join our APAC Finance team on a 3-month fixed-term contract to cover a maternity leave.
In this role, you will take ownership of collection activities for an assigned portfolio of client accounts. You will ensure timely payments within agreed terms, manage cash application, and collaborate with internal commercial and billing teams to resolve client disputes efficiently.

In this role, you will take ownership of collection activities for an assigned portfolio of client accounts. You will ensure timely payments within agreed terms, manage cash application, and collaborate with internal commercial and billing teams to resolve client disputes efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Collections & Portfolio Management: Contact clients and follow up closely on overdue accounts to ensure timely collection and minimize bad debt exposure.
- Account Administration: Issue statements of account and reminder letters promptly; apply incoming customer payments to system accounts accurately.
- Dispute Resolution & Escalations: Work closely with your supervisor, commercial, and client billing teams to address and resolve account queries or disputes.
- Risk Management: Alert leadership regarding high-risk accounts and take necessary steps to protect company cash flow.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong working relationships across Finance and Commercial teams to support smooth finance operations.
What We Are Looking For
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high proficiency in English.
- Strong proficiency in standard office applications (Google Workspace—Gmail, Sheets, Docs—preferred).
- Close attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, or Credit Control.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience using CRM software (Salesforce) and ERP software (NetSuite).
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and solve problems creatively.
- Self-motivated team player who can work both autonomously and collaboratively.
