Project Manager

Location: Samalaju, Sarawak (Bintulu)

Type: Contract, 1 Year

Reports to: Distinguished Engineer

Salary range: RM4,000 to RM5,500 per month

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a hands-on Project Manager to support multiple enterprise technology and AI projects at a major industrial site in Samalaju.

This is primarily a client facing, on-site project delivery role. You do not need software engineering experience. Your key responsibility is to represent our delivery team on the ground, understand what is happening at site, coordinate stakeholders and work closely with our remote engineering team to ensure projects are delivered successfully.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage day to day project activities and act as the main point of contact for client stakeholders on site
• Gather and clarify business and operational requirements
• Coordinate project timelines, action items and dependencies with our remote engineering team
• Attend physical meetings on site, conduct site inspections and understand actual operational workflows
• Coordinate and facilitate UAT, user feedback and project acceptance
• Assist with deployment, testing and basic troubleshooting of systems, devices and infrastructure at site, including bringing and installing equipment when needed.
• Help our remote engineers diagnose issues by collecting information, checking site conditions, logs, connectivity or hardware where required
• Learn and use the ************* platform to support solution delivery and configuration
• Provide clear updates, documentation and escalate any issues promptly to the project team

REQUIREMENTS

• A degree in any field
• At least 2 years in project management, implementation, operations or client facing delivery
• Strong communication and good stakeholder management skills
• Able to work independently as the primary point of contact at site
• Willingness to learn new technology and work in an industrial environment
• Based in Bintulu, or willing to be stationed at Samalaju

BROWNIE POINTS

• Experience in IT, software, data or AI projects delivery
• Familiarity with user testing, requirement documentation or basic networking
• Degree in software engineering, computer science or a related technical field
• Familiarity with heavy industry or plant operating environments

SITE AND TRAVEL

The project site is in Samalaju, approximately one hour's drive from Bintulu. Travel and accommodation for site work are covered under the Company's Business Travel Policy, subject to its terms and conditions.
