The Talent and Education Development Office (TED) is seeking a creative, proactive, and detail-oriented Digital Learning Media Producer (Publications and Multimedia) to support the production of high-quality print, digital, and multimedia communications. The appointee will be responsible for the visual design and production of the Office’s publications and promotional materials, including the Digital Learning Magazine, newsletters, booklets, brochures, posters, banners, and event-related publicity materials. The appointee will also provide photography services and assist in video production and editing to support the communication of the University’s learning and teaching initiatives to internal and external audiences.

Working closely with academic and administrative colleagues, the appointee will play a key role in communicating the University’s learning and teaching initiatives through engaging and professional visual and multimedia designs.

Duties

  • Create layouts and visual designs for the Digital Learning Magazine and other TED publications, and prepare artwork for print and digital publications;
  • Create a wide range of print and digital communication materials, including booklets, brochures, leaflets, newsletters, posters, banners, event programmes, certificates, and promotional items;
  • Conduct photography assignments for University activities, seminars, workshops, conferences, award ceremonies, interviews, and other events organised or supported by TED;
  • Take professional portraits and editorial photographs for magazine features, interviews, cover stories, and promotional materials;
  • Perform photo editing, retouching, colour correction, and image enhancement to meet publication standards;
  • Work closely with editors and contributors to develop visually compelling magazine stories and feature articles;
  • Produce infographics, illustrations, and other visual content to support learning and teaching communications;
  • Ensure consistency in branding, visual identity, and presentation standards across TED publications and publicity materials;
  • Liaise with editors, content contributors, printers, vendors, and other stakeholders throughout the production process;
  • Manage publication schedules and production timelines to ensure timely delivery of projects;
  • Coordinate printing, proofing, and quality assurance processes with external vendors;
  • Maintain and organise the Office's image library, publication archives, visual assets, and design templates;
  • Assist in video production, including filming, editing, post-production, and the creation of short promotional and event-highlight videos, as required;
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or above in Graphic Design/Visual Communication, or a related discipline, with at least 2 years of professional experience;
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in publication design, editorial layout, photography work, and other visual communication work;
  • Ability to create compelling visual narratives through a combination of design, photography, and typography;
  • Experience in event and portrait photography;
  • Knowledge of printing processes, production specifications, colour management, and pre-press requirements;
  • Proficiency in applications such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) and Microsoft M365 applications (Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint);
  • Good knowledge of GenAI tools for visual elements;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and subject matter experts;
  • Experience in video production and multimedia content creation would be an advantage.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
