Role Description The Product Operations Engineer role is a contract, on-site position based in Bayan Lepas. This role focuses on supporting the operational lifecycle of technology products, including system configuration, deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization. The Product Operations Engineer collaborates closely with product managers, development teams, and support teams to ensure smooth releases, incident resolution, and continuous improvement of product reliability. Daily responsibilities may include maintaining production environments, troubleshooting technical issues, executing operational runbooks, documenting processes, and contributing to automation initiatives. The role also emphasizes adherence to security, compliance, and quality standards while supporting product-related changes and enhancements.
Qualifications

• Strong product operations or production support experience, including incident management, root cause analysis, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience with system administration and infrastructure operations (e.g., servers, networks, databases, cloud environments).
• Familiarity with deployment pipelines, release management, and automation tools (e.g., CI/CD platforms, scripting languages).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting application and system issues, reading logs, and using monitoring tools to track performance and availability.
• Understanding of IT service management practices and frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and standard operational runbooks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.
• Effective communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work on-site in Bayan Lepas and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., cloud, ITSM, DevOps) are an advantage.
