We are pleased to be partnering a high-growth Consumer Finance Platform to appoint a senior credit risk strategist into the organisation. Based in Singapore, this is a regional, hands-on strategy role for someone who can connect credit policy, portfolio performance, and commercial growth.

The Role

• Shape credit policy across the customer lifecycle — acquisition, limit setting, pricing, and account management.
• Turn risk appetite into clear, implementable rules and strategies across product, growth, and engineering.
• Work with data science and modeling teams to translate model outputs into cutoffs, segment strategies, and portfolio actions; validate before rollout.
• Build a consolidated view of portfolio health across credit, collections, and fraud; spot early warning signals and drive structural fixes.
• Partner with product, marketing, and business teams on launches and campaigns; communicate risk-return trade-offs to senior leaders.
• Design and run controlled experiments and policy tests from hypothesis to rollout.
• Lead stress testing and scenario planning to assess resilience under adverse conditions.
• Represent risk in regulatory, audit, and governance discussions.
• Identify gaps in the risk framework and lead cross-functional initiatives to close them.

Ideal Candidate

• Around 5 years in credit risk strategy, portfolio analytics, or data-driven lending; BNPL, digital lending, fintech, or consumer credit preferred.
• Strong understanding of lending economics and the credit lifecycle: underwriting, limits, pricing, delinquency, collections, recovery.
• Able to work effectively with modelers and data teams; comfortable interpreting scorecards and model outputs.
• Strong business acumen and stakeholder influence; can balance risk and growth.
• Proficient in SQL; familiar with Python, Tableau, Excel, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills; able to simplify complex concepts for non-risk audiences.
• Self-driven, structured, outcome-oriented; comfortable in fast-paced environments.
