Our client is a global organisation seeking a Senior Application Developer to develop and modernise proprietary corporate secretarial and client accounting systems.

This is a hands-on coding role where you'll build reliable VB.NET solutions while working closely with business users to understand workflows, identify inefficiencies, and deliver practical automation and AI-driven improvements.

Build, enhance, automate - here's what you'll be responsible for:

• Develop and maintain applications using VB.NET, .NET Framework, Windows Forms, and WCF

• Design, optimise, and maintain MS SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and queries

• Work with business users and Business Analysts to understand requirements and develop effective technical solutions

• Identify manual and repetitive processes and introduce automation and AI-driven improvements

• Maintain and modernise existing VB.NET applications while reducing technical debt

• Troubleshoot production issues and complex application problems

• Write clean, testable, maintainable code and participate in code reviews

• Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot

• Continuously improve application performance, automation, and development practices
  
  

A technically strong developer with business process awareness:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on application development experience

• Strong VB.NET and .NET Framework experience, including Windows Forms and WCF

• Solid MS SQL Server skills, including stored procedures, query optimisation, and database design

• Experience with Bitbucket and collaborative development

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to understand business workflows and identify opportunities for automation

• Proactive, independent, and comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Excellent English communication skills

• Experience with Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot is essential

• Next.js and React experience is an advantage

• Corporate services or accounting domain knowledge is a plus
