Ansell is looking for Sustainability Engineer to be based in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.

This position is Responsible to lead in delivering sustainable and low-energy design projects in the factory environment. The role demands an understanding of engineering in relation to reuse, remanufacturing, recycling and the effects of carbon emissions.

What Will Your Role Be?

• Identify feasible sustainable design concepts.
• Manage projects and keep up to date on progress.
• Keep up to date with the latest sustainability assessments.
• Use CAD tools to create models.
• Use mapping technology to assist with the creation of models.
• Collect and collate qualitative and quantitative data to help communicate and support sustainable engineering designs.
• Coordinating and overseeing contractors performing maintenance activities.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
• Preparing reports and compliance documentation.
• To be “on-call” work during major crisis/breakdown. Be reachable by phone at all times.

What Will You Bring?

• Bachelor's Degree in Sustainable or Environmental engineering or equivalent from reputable Universities.
• Registered Energy Manager (REM) and ISO 50001 Energy Management System (EnMS)
• Working experience as a sustainability engineer or in a similar role
• Strong technical engineering knowledge.
• Good understanding of low-carbon building solutions.
• Good product design skills and product assessment skills.
• Good report writing skills.
• Strong communication and project management capabilities.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Sound knowledge of mapping, thermal and energy modelling and life cycle assessment tools.
• Good understanding of the circular economy’s impact on sustainable engineering.
• Good leadership qualities and self-motivated.
• Good interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and as a team with good safety and interpersonal skills.
• Good safety, health and environmental mindset.
• The ability to deal with multiple requests without being overwhelmed.
• The ability to remain professional under pressure.
