We have an Immediate Junior IT Security Officer / IT Security Engineer with our reputed Client.

Work Location: KL

Exp: Minimum 1+ years to 2 years

Job Description (JD)

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in system vulnerabilities management (VM) and penetration test

- Coordinate with system owner for the remediation plan

- Escalate suspicious activities to senior official.

- Support investigations of security events

- Documents findings and contribute to remediation efforts

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).

- Basic knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, SMB, HTTPS, TLS).

- Familiarity with endpoint security tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender, McAfee).

- Understanding of firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Eagerness to learn and adapt to evolving security threats.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to SIEM tools (Splunk).

- communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
