Technical Service Engineer

Salary: $6,500 - $7,500
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (9:00 am - 6:00 pm)
Job Summary
We are looking for a Technical Service Delivery Engineer who can bridge service delivery with hands-on engineering. The role requires a technically strong professional who is comfortable managing customer expectations, ensuring service performance and performing technical troubleshooting and implementation.
You will serve as the key point of contact for service delivery while contributing hands-on technical expertise to maintain, improve and optimise systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Service Delivery & Operations
- Manage end-to-end service delivery for assigned customers or systems.
- Ensure compliance with SLAs, KPIs and service quality standards.
- Act as a key escalation point for technical incidents and issues.
- Provide regular service reports, reviews and recommendations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve service performance.
- Manage incidents, problems and changes in accordance with established processes.
2. Technical Engineering
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting across infrastructure, applications and platforms.
- Design, implement and maintain technical solutions and system improvements.
- Support system deployments, upgrades, patching and configuration activities.
- Monitor production environments and critical systems.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
- Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.
3. Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into suitable technical solutions.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to customers.
- Communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage customer escalations and expectations effectively.
4. Continuous Improvement
- Identify gaps in service delivery and recommend process improvements.
- Drive service optimisation and cost-efficiency initiatives.
- Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge bases and best practices.
5. Technical Requirements
- Strong infrastructure experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Windows/Linux Servers
- VMware
- Networking
- Cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, patching, upgrades and production support.
- Experience with monitoring, incident management and troubleshooting tools.
- Familiarity with Incident, Problem and Change Management.
- Experience managing SLAs, service delivery and technical escalations.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and service management processes.
- Basic scripting/automation knowledge in PowerShell, Python or Bash will be an advantage.
- Experience with enterprise IT operations or managed services is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
- ITIL Certification.
- Cloud certifications such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Experience in customer-facing technical roles.
- Experience working in managed services or enterprise IT environments.
Pay: $6,500.00 - $7,500.00 per month
