IT Technician
The IT Technician will serve as the first line of technical support for our corporate office and branch networks. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and securing daily IT operations, including hardware, software, network connectivity, and user access management.
Responsibility :
Helpdesk & End-User Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal IT support tickets, resolving hardware, software, and network issues efficiently via remote tools or on-site desk-side support.
Set up, configure, and deploy new workstations, laptops (Windows/Mac), IP phones, and mobile devices for incoming employees.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls via Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 / ERP / SAP.
Hardware & Software Maintenance: Install, upgrade, and patch operating systems, productivity software, and corporate security agents (e.g., Antivirus, Endpoint Detection & Response / EDR).
Maintain an up-to-date and accurate hardware and software asset inventory for internal tracking and audit compliance.
Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs for peripheral devices, including network printers and scanners.
Network & Infrastructure Monitoring: Monitor local area networks (LAN), WiFi stability, and internet connectivity to ensure seamless corporate operations.
Assist with basic firewall, switch, and router maintenance under the guidance of the Network Administrator.
Ensure routine data backups are executed successfully and assist in disaster recovery testing protocols.
Compliance & IT Security Support: Ensure all IT practices align with corporate governance, Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) standards, and internal IT security policies.
Support internal and external IT compliance audits by pulling logs, configuration files, and asset reports as required.
Academic Qualification :
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Skills & Experience :
Minimum 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in IT support, helpdesk, or desktop administration, preferably within a corporate environment.
Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows 10/11 and macOS troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint).
Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, and Wi-Fi configurations).
Experience with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk, SCCM).
Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin/dialects is an added advantage given regional stakeholder communication.
Excellent interpersonal and customer-service mindset with a cool-tempered approach to resolving user frustrations.
High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive corporate data.
