Job Responsibilities
- Plan and optimise cargo capacity to maximise ULD utilisation and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with airline carriers to secure sufficient cargo capacity based on customer demand and forecasted volumes.
- Manage carrier allocations and Block Space Agreements (BSA) to ensure adequate capacity.
- Negotiate ad-hoc rates and manage operational costs effectively.
- Monitor shipment execution and ensure accurate shipment status visibility.
- Identify and resolve operational issues promptly, providing alternative routing or solutions when required.
- Work closely with Customer Service, warehouse, procurement and airline carriers to ensure smooth shipment operations.
- Analyse demand trends, forecasting data and market conditions to support capacity planning and operational decisions.
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures, regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Maintain accurate planning and documentation to minimise operational risks and discrepancies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency, service levels and cost performance.
- Perform other duties and job-related tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1–3 years of direct experience in air freight operations, carrier coordination or capacity planning.
- Strong understanding of air freight operations and airline carrier management.
- Knowledge of cargo capacity planning, load optimisation and freight rate structures.
- Good analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to balance cost, service and operational requirements.
- Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiar with operational systems.
- Basic negotiation skills and cost awareness.
