JOB TITLE: Finance Executive / Junior Accountant

LOCATION: On - Site Bangsar (Jalan Maarof)

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time (Junior / Fresh Graduate Level)

SALARY: MYR 2,500 – MYR 4,000 per month (Commensurate with experience)

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Executive / Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling day-to-day bookkeeping, maintaining general ledgers, processing accounts payable/receivable, and assisting with monthly financial closing. This is an ideal role for fresh graduates or junior accounting professionals looking to build a strong foundation in corporate finance and accounting practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Day-to-Day Bookkeeping: Record daily financial transactions, vendor invoices, payment vouchers, and customer billings accurately in the accounting system.
• Accounts Payable (AP) & Receivables (AR): Monitor outstanding invoices, manage vendor payments, track customer receivables, and follow up on overdue payments.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations and verify transaction records against bank statements.
• Month-End Closing Support: Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations, standard journal entries, and petty cash management.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure proper filing and systematic record-keeping of all financial documents, tax records, and invoices in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Cross-Department Support: Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal teams to resolve billing queries and payment discrepancies.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent (ACCA / CAT pursuit is a plus).
• Experience: Fresh graduates or professionals with up to 1 year of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Language Proficiency: Mandarin speaker is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking vendors, regional clients, and internal business stakeholders. Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of accounting principles (IAS/MPERS) and proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables). Experience with accounting software (e.g., SQL Accounting, AutoCount, Xero, or QuickBooks) is an added advantage.
• Personal Attributes: Strong numerical aptitude, sharp attention to detail, high level of integrity, and ability to meet monthly reporting deadlines.
