1. Purpose of job

Assistant Engineer in Infrastructural UHPC department helps developing the Company’s product by continuous research activities.

2. Subordination

The immediate supervisor of the Employee is Team Lead, Infrastructural UHPC.

The Employee may receive instructions and will report to the Director of research and development or other Employer’s management function representatives.

3. Primary duties and responsibilities

3.1. To assist in research and development of (nano-engineered) ultra high performance concrete products (UHPC) for infrastructure applications.

3.2. To actively participate in all product/system assigned activities (from mix design to R&D to commercialization).

3.3. To help evaluate and optimize construction materials e.g. cement, sand, supplementary contentious materials into various UHPC formulations.

3.4. To perform various laboratory tests related to concrete properties measurements (mechanical and durability testing etc.).

3.5. To perform laboratory and on-site work.

3.6. To be responsible for assigned lab equipment and tools.

3.7. To provide daily work progress update to the Employer’s management.

3.8. To participate in weekly UHPC team meetings and local/overseas discussions aimed at project planning, troubleshooting and other.

3.9. To undertake other tasks assigned by the Employer’s management.

4. Education and experience

4.1. A Degree/Diploma of Engineering in Civil/Structure, Material Science or Chemical studies / fresh graduates with keen interest in concrete R&D.

4.2. At least 1-2 years of relevant working experience. Experience in concrete mixture and concrete development is preferred.

4.3. Responsible, attentive to details, hardworking, team player, positive attitude.
