Job Title: Construction Quality Dimensional Control Inspector

Duration: 12 months renewable contract

Schedule: Initially Monday to Friday, with potential transition to Monday to Saturday; 7am - 5pm

Location: Singapore

This opportunity focuses on dimensional accuracy across fabricated components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies within a major offshore construction environment. The role supports quality assurance, alignment verification, fit-up inspection, and non-conformance management to help maintain structural integrity throughout the build process. This position offers involvement in FPSO construction, dimensional control inspection, and collaboration with engineering, quality, and construction teams.

Required Education

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  
  

Required Experience

• Proven experience in dimensional control inspection within the offshore, oil & gas, or shipbuilding industries.
• Strong exposure to FPSO or large-scale offshore construction projects.
• Experience inspecting fabricated components, sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and installed equipment during assembly and installation stages.
• Experience identifying dimensional deviations, documenting non-conformances, and supporting corrective actions and rework verification.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong capability in verifying dimensional accuracy against design specifications, engineering drawings, and project tolerances.
• Proficiency in using laser trackers, total stations, 3D scanners, and traditional measurement instruments including calipers, micrometers, and levels.
• Ability to maintain accurate inspection records, measurement data, and non-conformance reports.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications, and dimensional tolerances used in offshore construction.
• Knowledge of alignment and fit-up inspection for modules, piping, and other key structural components.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address dimensional discrepancies.
• Good technical understanding of inspection, testing, commissioning, monitoring, planning, risk management, quality, and HSSE.
• Ability to work closely with engineering, design, quality, and construction teams and communicate deviations promptly.
