Summary:

The Sanitation Technician ensures that the building is kept in pristine condition, and all the equipment inside is maintained in a clean and serviceable manner. This means completing all sanitation as scheduled on the Master Sanitation Schedule. They will complete sanitation projects as directed, as well as ensure that all cleaning tools and chemicals are organized and adequately supplied for the company’s needs. This person will also engage in quality and safety measures daily, such as maintaining the standards put forth in the Safety Program and Food Safety Management Program.

Summary of major duties:

100% Sanitation:

Perform sanitation tasks including scrubbing, scraping, and washing equipment to achieve optimal sanitary conditions. o Clean room equipment and facility infrastructure o Clean walls and ceilings at various heights

• Remove plant waste in a timely and consistent manner
• Follow all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) requirements.
• Execute all tasks in accordance with established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to ensure food safety and product quality.
• Participate actively in ongoing training sessions to maintain competency in sanitation, safety, and quality standards.
• Follow work instructions and comply with OSHA safety regulations, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and all applicable industrial safety practices.
• Report any equipment or facility repair needs to management promptly to prevent safety or operational issues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support sanitation operations and plant needs.
  
  

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic understanding of manufacturing environment such as process and production lines, machinery and equipment set up, operation set-up and daily management system.
• Basic understanding of problem solving steps.
• Basic knowledge of proper documentation management
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Completion of coursework in the Sanitation Standard Program.
  
  

Abilities

• Ability to lift 20 kgs repetitively.
• Ability to bend, twist, and stand on your feet for an entire shift.
• Exposed to food production environment and warehouse environment which may involve noise and fluctuating temperatures.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Read and understand chemical labels.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, including electronically.
  
  

Minimum Education And Experience Requirements

Education: Vocational Certificate/ SPM.

Experience: Proven experience in sanitation work.
