Job Description

Responsibilities

Human Resource Management

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and SOPs.
  • Provide HR advice and support to management and department heads.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle from recruitment to resignation/termination.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Monitor manpower requirements and workforce planning.

Recruitment & Staffing

  • Manage recruitment for production, kitchen, administrative, and supervisory positions.
  • Conduct interviews and coordinate the selection and onboarding process.
  • Ensure sufficient manpower to support daily production and operational requirements.
  • Monitor staff turnover, absenteeism, and manpower shortages.

Payroll, Attendance & Overtime

  • Oversee monthly payroll processing, including salary, allowances, overtime, deductions, and statutory contributions.
  • Monitor attendance, leave, lateness, absenteeism, and overtime.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Review payroll reports and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Manage the company's HR/payroll/attendance system.

Employee Relations & Discipline

  • Handle employee grievances, complaints, and workplace conflicts.
  • Manage disciplinary matters and conduct investigations where required.
  • Prepare show-cause letters, warning letters, and other disciplinary documentation.
  • Advise management and HODs on appropriate disciplinary actions.
  • Promote a positive and professional working environment.

Training & Development

  • Identify training needs for employees.
  • Organise internal and external training programmes.
  • Maintain employee training records and certificates.
  • Coordinate food handling, food safety, hygiene, safety, and other mandatory training.
  • Manage applicable HRD Corp training and claims.

Food Industry Compliance

  • Ensure employees comply with food hygiene, grooming, uniform, and personal hygiene requirements.
  • Coordinate food handler training and related certification requirements.
  • Support compliance with food safety systems such as HACCP, GMP, or other applicable standards.
  • Maintain HR documentation required for customer, CSR, food safety, and internal audits.
  • Work closely with Operations, QA/QC, and Safety teams on employee compliance matters.

Statutory & Legal Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment legislation and regulations.
  • Manage statutory contributions and submissions, including EPF, SOCSO/PERKESO, EIS, and PCB.
  • Monitor compliance with working hours, overtime, rest days, public holidays, leave, and other employment requirements.
  • Keep HR policies and practices updated according to changes in legislation.

Performance Management

  • Manage employee performance appraisal processes.
  • Monitor employee performance and recommend improvement actions.
  • Support salary reviews, promotions, and succession planning.

Employee Welfare

  • Manage employee benefits, insurance, welfare, and staff facilities.
  • Organise employee engagement activities and company events.
  • Address employee welfare concerns and promote a healthy working environment.

HR Reporting & Audit

  • Prepare monthly HR reports for management, including:
  • Headcount
  • Staff turnover
  • Attendance and absenteeism
  • Overtime
  • Payroll
  • Recruitment
  • Training
  • Disciplinary cases
  • Prepare HR documents for internal, customer, CSR, ISO, and statutory audits.
  • Ensure HR records are properly maintained and readily available for audit purposes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in food manufacturing, catering, F&B, or production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and statutory requirements.
  • Experience in payroll, attendance, overtime, recruitment, employee relations, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Experience managing workers and high-volume manpower is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and handle confidential employee information professionally.

Pay: From RM4,000.00 per month
