About the role

The primary function of this person will be to support the Empower user base in Asia. This will involve software QA, field testing, training personnel on new features, and providing technical support for Empower and related operations. Ideally, this person would have additional technical skills to augment support for more general, IT-related functions. The job will involve taking direction from the Singapore managing director as well as the technical team in USA.

Key responsibilities

• Advocate for and represent Empower user base in Asia (primarily)
• Conduct field tests of release candidates and approve (or reject) those as needed
• Collaborate with project, development, and IT teams, as well as Asia user base.
• Assist in projects to improve data integrity and reduce technical debt as directed by project team leader
• Work with stakeholders to help define and articulate product improvements, and communicate them to the product and development teams

Job Requirement(s):

• Minimum 2 years of experience supporting the user base of a web-based business application
• Experience in Software/Web QA practices
• Other technical competencies to include, at a minimum:
• o Strong desktop system knowledge including MS Windows, Office, and Edge.
• o Proven experience with Web-based enterprise, cloud-based applications.
• o Meticulous ability to detect faults in software, and to see them through until resolved
• o Identify root causes of problems, find workarounds when needed, and strive to show how to reproduce problems to the development team so they can easily be fixed.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with numerous types of users, including sales, purchasing, management, and technical people
• Strong written and verbal English skills
• Experience with product release process will be an added advantage
