Computer Technician II(s)
The Information Technology Services Centre (ITSC) is looking for individuals to provide services for the Centre Data Centres of the University. 
 

The appointee(s) will be assigned to the Central Operations Team. Duties include (a) providing 24x7 operations on a rotating three-shift basis, including weekends, public holidays, and adverse weather conditions, with a monthly shift allowance; (b) monitoring, operating, and maintaining data centre critical infrastructure, including security, power, cooling, and fire protection systems; (c) monitoring networks and various systems, fault reporting, and escalation according to standard operation procedures; (d) performing daily data centre operations, such as asset management, physical access control, job submission, data backup, report generation, cable patching and other network/systems/data centre housekeeping works; and (e) performing infrastructure service desk functions to take care of incident management and request fulfilment. 
 

Applicants should have (i) a Diploma/Certificate, preferably in Computing or related subjects, from a recognised university or technical institute; (ii) experience in network, systems or data centre operations; (iii) a positive attitude towards observing disciplinary codes of shift duties; and (iv) good communication and interpersonal skills.
 

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
