Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer / Senior Full Stack Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience to join our technology team.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in frontend engineering and UI architecture , with experience designing scalable, responsive and high-performance enterprise applications. The role also requires strong secondary knowledge of Java-based backend development, REST/GraphQL APIs and microservices architecture .

You will provide technical leadership across multiple teams or squads, drive engineering best practices, and contribute to the end-to-end delivery of secure, scalable and high-quality technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Engineering

• Lead the design and development of scalable, responsive and high-quality enterprise web applications.

• Architect and implement reusable UI components, application flows and frontend solutions.

• Develop and maintain frontend applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Angular and/or Lit.js .

• Establish and enforce frontend engineering standards covering performance, accessibility, maintainability, testing and code quality.

• Design and implement microfrontend architectures across multiple UI repositories.

• Drive frontend performance optimization and responsive user experience.

• Guide frontend state management, event handling and integration with backend services.

• Champion the use of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Figma AI and similar technologies to improve engineering productivity.

• Provide technical guidance, mentoring and code reviews to engineers.

• Lead and coordinate multiple engineering teams/squads across planning, development, testing and release activities.

Backend Development

• Develop and maintain backend services using Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot and/or Quarkus .

• Implement secure backend services using Spring Security and established security practices.

• Design and develop RESTful APIs and GraphQL services .

• Contribute to microservices architecture and integration design.

• Develop robust data access layers using JPA/Hibernate .

• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB and Redis .

• Support application build and deployment processes using Maven/Gradle and CI/CD pipelines .

• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, architecture and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

Frontend

• At least 10 years of overall software engineering experience , with strong hands-on frontend development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript .

• Experience with one or more modern frontend frameworks/libraries such as:

  • React.js

  • Angular

  • Lit.js

  • MUI

• Strong understanding of UI architecture, reusable component design and frontend design patterns .

• Experience building responsive, accessible and high-performance enterprise applications.

• Experience with frontend state management and backend API integration.

• Strong understanding of REST and/or GraphQL integration .

• Experience with frontend testing, code reviews, maintainability and reusable design standards.

• Hands-on experience with microfrontend architecture and/or multiple frontend repositories is highly desirable.

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Figma AI, Claude Code or similar tools is an advantage.

Backend

Working knowledge of:

• Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams or squads through the full software delivery lifecycle.

• Strong experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with product, architecture, QA, DevOps and business teams.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineering team members.

• Strong focus on software quality, security, performance and maintainability.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and continuously evolving technology environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in the banking, financial services or fintech industry .

• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements within financial services environments.

• Experience with event-driven architecture .

• Experience delivering large-scale enterprise applications.

• Experience working across multiple teams, technology platforms and distributed development environments.

Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline .
